The underlay is the material that shows through your lettering. Here's how to pick.
Our brightest option. Prismatic material that lights up in headlights and flashlights.
Strong reflectivity with a smooth, clean finish that looks more subtle in daylight.
Visible under night vision. Some colors are also reflective. Black IR gives IR with no visible shine.
Solid, non-reflective colors for a clean, low-profile look. No upcharge.

We set up a private, passcode-protected page with your approved patches, so every officer orders the exact same thing. Bulk pricing, no startup fees. Need PVC or embroidered patches instead? Those have their own instant pricing.

A rugged military-style nylon fabric that matches modern plate carriers and tactical gear. It resists fraying, fading and everyday wear. Your text or design is laser cut so the underlay shows through.
Every patch has hook (Velcro-style) backing sewn on, so it's ready for any loop panel on a plate carrier, vest, bag or uniform.
No. You can order a single patch. Ordering for a whole unit? See our agency program for bulk pricing.
Yes. Upload it while you build. A PNG with a transparent background works best, at 300 DPI or higher. If your artwork needs cleanup, we'll reach out before we make anything.
For most patrol use, Premium Reflective. For a cleaner daytime look, High Intensity. If you work under night vision, choose an IR underlay. Black IR gives IR with no visible shine. Want no shine at all? Pick a matte color, at no extra cost.
Standard production is 14–21 business days after your order is confirmed, plus shipping. Have a hard deadline? Email info@thetacpatch.com before you order and we'll tell you if we can make it.
Custom patches are made for you, so they can't be returned once production starts. If we make a mistake, like the wrong size, color or a defect, we remake it or refund you. Email us within 7 days of delivery with photos.
