The gold standard for bulk runs. Sharp, durable, and cost-effective at volume. Best for solid color designs and larger quantity orders where consistency across every piece matters. Minimum 24 pieces.

DTF TRANSFER

Direct-to-film printing gives you full color, fine detail, and flexibility ā€” without the setup costs of screen printing. Ideal for smaller runs, complex artwork, and photographic designs. No minimum order.

COLORS PER LOCATION
Each color in screen printing requires its own screen. Front and back are priced independently ā€” a 3-color front with a 1-color back costs less than 3 colors on both sides.
Example: thin blue line badge = 2 colors. Full department seal = 4ā€“6.

WHITE VS DARK GARMENTS
Dark shirts need extra ink layers so colors show up vividly against the fabric. This adds a small per-shirt cost. White and light garments print at the base price ā€” no extra ink needed.

$15 per screen, every order. One screen per color per location. The tool calculates your total setup fee automatically ā€” including both locations if you add a back print.

DTF is the better call when you need fewer than 36 shirts, want full color with no setup fee, or need a fast turnaround. Screen printing wins at 36+ pieces ā€” lower per-shirt cost and more durable finish for recurring unit orders.
HONEST ADVICE
ā¬” HIGH COLORS + SMALL RUNS
5ā€“6 color screen prints under 72 shirts get expensive fast because of setup fees. DTF gives you the same full-color result with no setup fee at small quantities. We'll always tell you which makes more sense for your order.
ā¬” KEEP BACK PRINTS SIMPLE
A 1-color back print ā€” department name, badge number, or a simple design ā€” is one of the best value add-ons in screen printing. Low cost per shirt, big visual impact on the finished garment.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Does the price include the shirt?ā†“
Yes. Every price includes the blank Next Level 6210 plus printing ā€” one all-in number for Sā€“XL. Want a different blank or need 2XL+? Let us know and we'll build you an adjusted quote.
Do 2XL and larger sizes cost more?ā†“
Yes ā€” larger blanks typically cost more from the manufacturer. Additionally, if you want the design to fill the garment correctly on a larger size, we may need a bigger screen, which adds a one-time screen fee. We'll always tell you the adjusted price before anything goes to production.
Why does garment color affect price?ā†“
Dark shirts need an extra ink layer called an underbase so colors show up vividly. Without it, colors look washed out on dark fabric. This additional ink pass adds a small cost per shirt. White and light shirts skip that step entirely.
How do I count colors in my design?ā†“
Count the distinct colors in your logo. Black counts as one color. White on a white shirt doesn't ā€” that's the garment. Thin blue line flag = 2 colors. Department seal with black, gold, blue, and red = 4 colors. Not sure? Send us the artwork and we'll count it for you.
Why is there a setup fee every order?ā†“
Screen printing requires a physical screen per color ā€” like a custom stencil. Made fresh every production run, not stored between orders. At $15 per screen it's among the lowest in the industry, and the tool calculates it automatically.
Do front and back have separate setup fees?ā†“
Yes. Each location has its own screens. A 3-color front + 1-color back = 4 total screens = $60 setup. The pricing tool calculates this automatically when you add a back print.
When should I use DTF instead of screen printing?ā†“
DTF is the better call when you need fewer than 36 shirts, have a complex full-color design, or want no setup fee. At 36+ pieces screen printing wins ā€” lower per-shirt cost, more durable finish. For specialty locations like sleeves on a small run, DTF is almost always the better move.
