Artwork Rights & Permissions
I confirm that I own the rights to, or have explicit permission to use, all artwork, logos, badges, insignia, and designs submitted with this order. The Tac Patch does not verify artwork ownership and is not responsible for any copyright, trademark, or licensing violations resulting from customer-submitted artwork. Submitting artwork you do not have permission to use is solely your responsibility.

Artwork Quality
I understand that The Tac Patch is not responsible for print or production quality issues resulting from low-resolution, pixelated, blurry, or improperly formatted artwork that I submit. What goes in is what comes out — if the artwork is low quality, the patch will reflect that.

How to Submit Good Artwork
For the best result, submit your artwork as a PNG with a transparent background in the shape of your actual design.

• Our production process cuts out your entire design — any transparent or empty areas in your file will be filled with a standard artwork color, which may not match your chosen underlay color. Make sure your PNG contains only the parts of the design you actually want on the patch — nothing more.
• Resolution: 300 DPI or higher. If you can't zoom in on your file without it getting blurry, it's too low resolution.
• File types in order of preference: PNG (transparent background) → SVG → AI or EPS → PDF. Avoid JPG, screenshots, or photos of existing patches.
• White backgrounds: Do not submit artwork on a white background unless white is intentionally part of your design. A white background will be treated as part of the design and filled in accordingly.
• Text in your artwork: Make sure text is legible at the actual patch size. A font that looks fine on a large screen may become unreadable at 3 inches. When in doubt, go bolder and simpler.

Authorization & Identity
I confirm that I am an active, sworn, or authorized member of the law enforcement, fire, EMS, or government agency whose badge, seal, insignia, or department identification I am submitting with this order. I am not attempting to reproduce official agency identification for unauthorized, fraudulent, or impersonation purposes.

Verification Requirement
I understand that this order will not enter production until my agency affiliation has been verified. Verification must be completed in one of the following ways:

• Place your order using your official government or agency email address — if your order is placed from a verified .gov, .mil, or official agency email domain, your order will move into production automatically
• Send an email to info@thetacpatch.com from your official government or agency email address with your full name, agency name, badge or employee number, and your order number — orders will be held until this email is received and confirmed
• Orders placed from personal email addresses without a follow-up verification email will be held. If verification cannot be confirmed within 5 business days, your order may be cancelled and refunded.

Legal Acknowledgment
I understand that reproducing official law enforcement, fire, EMS, or government agency identification without authorization is a criminal offense. By submitting this order I am confirming under penalty of law that I am authorized to reproduce the insignia, badge, or department identification included in my design. The Tac Patch reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or report any order we believe involves unauthorized reproduction of official agency identification.

Production Timeline
I understand that all custom patches are made to order and are not pulled from existing inventory. Production timelines are as follows:

• Standard production: 14–21 business days after order confirmation
• Rush production: Available upon request — contact us at info@thetacpatch.com before placing your order to confirm availability and pricing
• Agency verification orders (if applicable): Production does not begin until agency verification is confirmed via email. Time spent waiting for verification is not counted toward production time
• Shipping time is separate from production time — please account for both when planning for a deadline or event

If you have a hard deadline such as an academy start date, graduation, or deployment, contact us at info@thetacpatch.com before placing your order so we can confirm whether your timeline is achievable. We will always be upfront about what is and is not possible.

Refund Policy
I understand that custom patches are made specifically for me and cannot be restocked or resold. As a result:

• Custom orders are non-refundable once production has begun
• If there is an error on our end — wrong size, wrong color, production defect — we will remake or refund the order at no cost to you
• If the error is the result of customer-submitted artwork, incorrect order details, or a spelling/design error approved by the customer, we are not responsible for a remake or refund
• Cancellations must be requested before production begins. Once production has started, cancellations cannot be accepted
• If you receive a damaged or defective order, contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@thetacpatch.com with photos and your order number and we will make it right
