DOES YOUR BAG HAVE VELCRO?
Most academy-issued bags have a velcro panel — select "Patch Only (No Loop)" and the hook velcro on the back of your patch will attach directly.
If your bag does not have velcro, select "Add Adhesive Backed Loop (+$5)" — this adds a self-adhesive loop backing so your patch sticks to any surface without velcro.
This is what gets cut into your patch. Enter exactly as shown on your academy paperwork — Letter + Numbers + Letter (e.g. A12345B). Double check before ordering — this cannot be changed after production begins.

⬡ WHAT YOU'RE GETTING
MATERIAL
Black tactical nylon fabric — the same material used on plate carriers, chest rigs, and duty gear. Durable, professional, and built to last through the academy and beyond.
UNDERLAY
Reflective white underlay beneath your cut letters. Highly visible in low light conditions — meets LVMPD Academy equipment requirements for bag identification patches.
CONSTRUCTION
Laser precision cut to exact dimensions. Your initials and P# are cut directly into the patch — not printed, not embroidered. Clean, sharp edges every time.
BACKING
Standard hook velcro backing attaches directly to any velcro panel on your bag. Optional adhesive-backed loop available if your bag does not have a velcro surface.

Enter it exactly as it appears on your academy paperwork — typically a letter, followed by your P# numbers, followed by your last initial. Example: A12345B. If you're unsure, check your academy equipment list or contact your recruiter before ordering.
No — once production begins your patch is being cut to your specific information. Double check your entry before placing your order. If you catch a mistake immediately after ordering, contact us at info@thetacpatch.com as fast as possible and we'll do our best to catch it before it goes into production.
Check your academy equipment list — it will specify the required patch size. The large bag patch is 11" x 3.5" with 3" letters, designed for the main bag. The small bag patch is 6.5" x 1.5" with 1" letters, designed for smaller bags or secondary pouches.
Production time varies — don't wait until the last minute. We recommend ordering at least 2 weeks before your academy start date to account for both production and shipping. Need it sooner? Contact us before ordering and we'll let you know if rush production is available.
Only if your bag does NOT have a velcro panel. Most academy-issued bags have velcro — in that case select "Patch Only (No Loop)" and the hook velcro on your patch attaches directly. If you're not sure, check the back of your bag for a fabric loop panel. If it feels rough like sandpaper, that's velcro and you don't need the adhesive option.
